Dr Massimo Barra Founder and Director of the Villa Maraini rehabilitation centre in Rome. Involved in the Red Cross Movement since the age of 8. Has held senior positions in the Italian Red Cross and the IFRC, and was IFRC Vice President from 2004-05. He is now the Chair of the IFRC Development Commission. He is very well-known in Italy for his work against stigma and discrimination and for his support for the most vulnerable.
